How do I recognise the signs of a stroke?

Use the FAST test to recognise a stroke: Face — has their face fallen on one side? Can they smile? Arms — can they raise both arms and keep them there? Speech — is their speech slurred? Time — call 999 immediately if you see any of these signs. Acting FAST can reduce brain damage and improve chances of recovery. Other symptoms include sudden confusion, trouble seeing, severe headache, and dizziness.
