I crack my knuckles all the time and people tell me I will get arthritis. Is this true?

This is one of the most common medical myths. Multiple studies have found no link between knuckle cracking and arthritis. The sound is caused by gas bubbles popping in the fluid around your joints. However, habitual knuckle cracking may lead to reduced grip strength over time and can cause joint swelling in some people. It will not give you arthritis though.
