I pack fish fillets into trays for 8 hours straight. My wrists and forearms ache constantly. Could this be RSI?

Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a general term for pain in muscles, nerves, and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overuse. Symptoms include pain, aching, tenderness, stiffness, throbbing, tingling, numbness, and weakness in the affected area. Treatment includes: - Rest from the activity causing pain - Ice packs, anti-inflammatory painkillers - Physiotherapy exercises - Wrist splints Your employer should rotate tasks, provide ergonomic tools, and allow regular breaks. If they do not, they are failing their duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

NIOSH recommends employers implement ergonomic programs including workstation design, tool modifications, work practice controls, and administrative controls such as job rotation and rest breaks.
