My line manager bullies me constantly. I feel sick every morning before work.
My manager shouts at me in front of others, gives me the worst jobs, and mocks my accent. I am from Romania and feel targeted.

Workplace bullying and harassment are unacceptable and may be illegal. If the behaviour targets your nationality or accent, this could constitute racial harassment under the Equality Act 2010. Your employer has a legal duty to prevent harassment.
Steps to take:
1. Keep a written diary of every incident (date, time, what was said, witnesses)
2. Report to HR or a more senior manager in writing
3. If your employer does not act, contact ACAS: 0300 123 1100
4. You can make a claim to an Employment Tribunal within 3 months of the incident

The physical symptoms you describe — feeling sick before work — are a stress response and should be taken seriously. Workplace bullying can cause anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and physical symptoms like headaches, stomach problems, and insomnia. See your GP for support. You can also self-refer to NHS talking therapies for free.

This is an important workplace health question. Based on the information above, we recommend speaking with your GP if you have health concerns and contacting HSE (0300 003 1647) if your employer is not meeting their legal obligations. Keep written records of all incidents and communications.
