I keep getting recurring ear infections. What could be causing this?
I have had 4 ear infections this year. My GP keeps giving me antibiotics but they keep coming back.

Recurring ear infections in adults can be caused by: water getting trapped in the ear (common in swimmers), using cotton buds (pushes wax deeper and can damage the ear canal), eczema or psoriasis in the ear canal, or a narrow ear canal. If you are on your 4th infection this year, your GP should refer you to an ENT specialist for investigation. In the meantime, keep your ears dry, do not use cotton buds, and use ear plugs when swimming or showering.
