Can my employer sack me for being off sick with a work injury?

Your employer CANNOT dismiss you simply for being off sick, especially if the injury was caused at work. Under the Employment Rights Act 1996, dismissal while on sick leave can be classed as unfair dismissal if: - You have worked for the employer for 2+ years - The dismissal is not for a fair reason - Proper procedures were not followed If your injury qualifies as a disability under the Equality Act 2010 (substantial and long-term impact on daily activities), your employer must make reasonable adjustments.
